Julius Tutelary deity of Wolin. He is the deified Julius Caesar, who was worshipped as the supposed founding ancestor of the city. The name of the city in medieval Latin texts is Iulin, allegedly a derivative of Julius. In Wolin there was a wooden pillar with an old lance hewn into it; the lance allegedly belonged to Julius Caesar. According to Dynda, this Julius’ pillar was another representation of the axis mundi, of the Triglav.
